interesting but complicated photo requests

First off, ill be honest I do not own a 60-66 truck, ar any truck anymore. Had to sell my baby for my sons medical bills. (84 k10 shortwide on 35s) but I'm determined to buy a 60-63, love that windshield. So that aside, I'm curious to know all the possible combinations of grilles n hoods. I know the differences and have seen them, but what possibilities ae there? For example, I've yet to see a 62 chev grille with a 60 gmc hood. I can imagine it, but would like to actually see it. Or a 64-66 grill with a 60 hood. So I'm asking the good photochoppers to mesh together some good pics, or even some curious wrench turners with lots of parts to put em all together and snap some decent shots. Perhaps my dream is like apple pie in the sky, but I'm sure I'm not the only one curious to know what combos are available. Pics of head on and at approximate 45 degree angles would be great. Thanks for your time fellas. I love the site.

ask and ye shall receive: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=351107

All 60-66 hoods interchangeable. As are the grilles, I THINK...

60 - 1 yr only grille
61 - 1 yr only grille
Same hood (with different inserts) for those 2 yrs
63-66 - same hood
63 - 1 yr only grille
64-66 - common grille
60-62 - torsion bar susp
63-66 - control arm susp
60-63 - wrap around windshield
64-66
canted A-pillar/common windshield

And by the way - the above is just to show you what "was" - someone else will probably need to photo-mesh for ya.

EDIT: Guess I kinda mis-read your thread there, sorry bout that....

Re: interesting but complicated photo requests

I’m not sure you’ll find any takers on your request, because as you’ve stated it’s very complicated and would be a nearly impossible task. As an alternative, there are photos posted on this site that show virtually every possible combination of hoods and grilles between all 60-66 Chevy and GMC trucks, along with short, long, wide, and step side beds.

For example here’s a photo thread covering all 60-66’s and there are 195 pages of input:

And here’s another master list breaking other submissions down into selected topics:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ght=tone+paint

Here’s an alternate site that categorizes photos by make. Chevy and GMC trucks are listed under Pickup by bed style:

Happy hunting!

...not to sound like a dick or anything, but you might want to start by going through the links above and the project builds and threads sub-forum and using "right click, save as" and putting them in a folder on your desktop.

And as far as grills being interchangeable. IIRC 60-63 have unique grill header panels, and GMC's have different ones than Chevy. The only difference is where the holes are drilled. I know for a fact that a GMC grill will not directly fully bolt up to a 64-66 header panel
