Steelies or Deep Dish
so, i came across 2 baby moon/of 4, centers at work that my boss had on his golf cart years ago. my spare wheel is an old original, which i disliked. anyways, i put the center cap on the wheel and placed it in front of my current wheel, and it made me think. i kinda like it, too bad i cant find/afford 3 other 6 lug wheels(anybody around here in central ar have 3 wheels they dont want?). so opinions, should i put new low pro tires on the 15x10 deep dish wheels, or not as expensive low pro tires on rallys with baby moons?

Re: Steelies or Deep Dish
I would sell your wide wheels and put some steelies with moons on. Paint the rims a lighter color. Maybe a medium bronze and add some skinny white walls to give it a retro look.

Re: Steelies or Deep Dish
Don't go with Rallies thinking to use a baby moon. That's the look I really want but the factory rallies do not have nubs for the center caps.

Re: Steelies or Deep Dish
I'm confused. Your thread is about steelies, but by the end it's wide alloys wheels vs rallye wheels. I like deep dish steelies, which I expected the choice was stock width vs deep dish steelies.
The baby moons won't work on rallyes but they look great with center caps. I kinda like the look of deep alloys all around, even if they aren't a style I particularly care for. It's a retro look, just from a later era like the '80s into the '90s. Many looks went with these trucks over time and as long as you capture one of them and don't mix it up it's all good to me.

Re: Steelies or Deep Dish
I think you should just polish the metal up on what you have and use some tire dressing on the tires.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the rims you have now. Now exactly my taste but then again the rims I have on my truck really aren't my taste either! I think if you were to just clean up what you have, it would make a big difference. Nice truck BTW! Keith |

Re: Steelies or Deep Dish
With the C/10 Club sticker you have ANYTHING will look good on your truck I personally am a fan of either stock steelies or rally's myself.

Re: Steelies or Deep Dish
We built this truck and the set of 10" alloy wheels just got swapped off his other '85 truck. I never cared for the wheels but I think the look is cool. I pick up on the rim more than the center because I love deep dish. I'd like to see other wheels on here but I don't think they look awful
