1976 GMC Sierra PU
What is this box on my pickup between master cylinder and brakes? I can't find it in the parts list, and nobody seems to be able to tell me anything about it? Thanks for any help.

Re: 1976 GMC Sierra PU
If you are talking about a box that your brake lines go to, you may be taking about the proportioning valve.

Re: 1976 GMC Sierra PU
My first thought as well - or it could be an aftermarket trailer brake controller.
It'll be interesting to see. K

Re: 1976 GMC Sierra PU
I wonder if it's part of an old school hydraulic trailer brake controller.
Yep, we'll need a pic.

Re: 1976 GMC Sierra PU
Thanks a lot everyone. As it turns out, it is a proportioning valve. I have already located an aftermarket part on ebay. It makes a big difference when you know what to ask for! The old Jimmy will be back on the road soon!
