85 dealer ac help
My 85 has dealer installed ac and im trying to put it back together before the heat comes back this year. Im almost done, but i can not find out how the cycle switch was wired. I know one lead should go from the compressor to the switch. I dont know where the other wire on the switch comes from.

Re: 85 dealer ac help
Power from the switch should go the lower pressure switch. The low pressure and high pressure switch are wired in series. If either switch trips, power is cut off to the compressor. The compressor other wire just needs to be grounded good.

Re: 85 dealer ac help
You lost me. I read my initial post and I may have lost myself aswell. I'm trying to hook up my ac cycle switch. The original pigtail for it is not there so I purchased a new one. It has 2 wires. Where do they go? My truck came with dealer installed ac and I cannot find any wiring diagrams except for the factory air diagram. The compressor was a sanden style compressor. I bought a new compressor aswell and the insructions says that one wire on the pressure switch goes to the wire built into the compressor. I Will post pics today. Thanks gchemist. Would you happen to have a schematic of the wiring you where telling me about.
