How Much Backspacing?

What's the maximum amount of backspacing these 4WD trucks can run? I've got a set of wheels I'd really like to get, but their backspacing is a little over 5". Plus they're only 8" wheels, so I'm worried they're going to look pretty tucked in under my truck.

Re: How Much Backspacing?

What diameter wheels are you talking about?
I'm no expert on 4x4 anything,... so maybe someone else will chime in.

Re: How Much Backspacing?

18" off a Canyon. Same ones I was talking about in the Blazer section, but I need to get back to the guy and figured I'd get a quicker reply in here.

Re: How Much Backspacing?

The front wheel BS max is about 4-4 1/2" before the wheel hits the tie rod. With a 20" wheel you maybe able to get away with more, but I don't think the ID on an 18" wheel will get you any more than a 15" wheel will.

Just for future reference if anyone comes across this thread, you're right. I finally got my front wheel pulled off tonight and 4.5", maybe a little less, is the maximum backspacing you can run on a Blazer.
