Got a pleasant surprise!!
Was putting a stereo in my Anniversary truck today and thought I would look under the blanket seat cover (I bought a new parchment seat cover) as I had not done so except around the edges and the white vinyl looked trashed w/dirt and grime, well to my amazement the cloth was near mint in all 4 seat panel positions and so I got the upholstery cleaner and some simple green Clear (non scented) and went to work, they cleaned up real nice for 44 years old, what a surprise, now I just may have the cloth/vinyl back and bench sewn into a new parchment seat cover for a old school seat Wow that made my day !![IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

Re: Got a pleasant surprise!!
That does look nice!! I believe that is a Highlander seat cover, it is not the 68 anniversary cover. It is very nice none-the-less.

Re: Got a pleasant surprise!!
Lots of old timers would cover the original seats. They look real nice!

Re: Got a pleasant surprise!!
I'm fifteen and just had a seat reupholstered (myself) for my GMC, Chevy, and Ford. They all had saddle blanket seat covers on before they were installed. I don't want to wear the vinyl out. It is much easier to change seat covers.

Re: Got a pleasant surprise!!
Not an anniversary cover for sure. It is a highlander cover, and its pretty darn cool. Also the possibility someone loved that cover and special ordered just for their truck though. When you decide to pull it off and toss it I will be happy to take it off your hands =)

Neato ! I 'd have been overwhelmed to find something like that, too.

Re: Got a pleasant surprise!!
The seat in the picture that you linked is a 50th seat, but it doesn't match yours. Here is the seat from Bob's old truck, this is a 50th seat.

Re: Got a pleasant surprise!!
And just to be very clear, it doesn't matter that your seat is not a 50th seat, that highlander seat is still REALLY cool.
