Is there a PS pump cap gasket I'm missing?
Well, got my son's '69 registered and inspected and he's been tearing up the road now
But his P/S fluid leaks at the cap. Went and bought a new one, and same thing. Looked at mine ('86 w/350) and it has a gasket about mid way down. Should there be some kind of seal on his? Thought about just getting a rubber washer and cutting it fit around the cap. It's on a '69 with a 327. Any thoughts? Thanks

Re: Is there a PS pump cap gasket I'm missing?
sounds overfilled. when its cold the fluid should only come to the end of the stick. unless its a remote res... then im not sure on how much they hold
or if it doesnt have a stick on the cap, it should be filled to about 1.5in from top +/-
