Re: aluminium slot wheels

american racing has slot mag style's in 6 lug, but you have to see what bolt pattern matches, but they should have it. They are under thier vintage series, and they are named ansen sprint. I don't have them or have seen them, but from the picture, they are very close to the same as the orignal et slotted mag's, which I just so happen to have a set of them on my s10. they are the bomb. I got comments when I took them in to have tires put on and mounted.

Re: aluminium slot wheels

Swap meet is your best bet, but there is AKH Vintage Wheels as well.

I scoured the swap meet for 8 lugs last spring but didn't find any. I saw a lot of 5 and 6 lugs though. You've got a good chance at finding them. Check Craigs List as well.

Re: aluminium slot wheels

You could consider Mickey Thompson Classic II. Inexpensive and a very strong wheel. Take a look:

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I have these wheels on my 63 truck with a 255/55-16" tire. They have good backspacing and polish up real nice. They have a removable insert so they fit a non hubcentric application.

Re: aluminium slot wheels

Please note they I did not include the correct part # for our six lug application. It should be:

Re: aluminium slot wheels

I just saw these on the Phoenix Craigslist and remembered seeing this thread. These look nice. Not sure of the lug spacing, but sounds likely to be OK.

Re: aluminium slot wheels

Mid 70's Jeep Wagoneers came stock with a very high quality slot mag. They are 6 on 5.5 pattern, 15x7 size. Bolt right on. No rubbing, no issues. I ran them on my Suburban and several other trucks before selling them to another member on here.

Re: aluminium slot wheels

Unfortunately, American Racing has discontinued the Ansen wheels or six lugs. Not sure which the lady at the tire store was referring to, but either way you can't get them for our trucks.

Bummer. 7" wheels are relatively easy to find, but the 8" ones are harder to come by.
