Door glass was hard to roll up. ????

My passenger door glass was so hard to roll up I had to pull up on the glass to help it go up. I noticed that the glass was thicker then the drivers door glass. I bought a real good door glass at a salvage yard for $25.00. I installed it, and now it rolls up so easy. Do some trucks have thicker glass then others?

I was told the older is thicker than the newer. I only have 79 and older glass so I can't verify. My question is was your pass. window always hard from day one? I guess it don't matter if it's working now huh...

Someone replaced the passenger glass with a thicker glass. I now have a good thick glass that I can't use.

I checked the LMC book, and there is a different number for 1973 to 1980, and 1981 to 1987 trucks. So the last owner put the wrong glass in it. Thanks

Check the glass in each door, and see if one is thicker then the other.
