battery acid vs. ceramic headers
I went to start my truck back up the other day and my battery blew up. Now I have spots from the acid on my headers. Does anyone have any idea how to get the spots off without messing up the ceramic coating?

Re: battery acid vs. ceramic headers
If the acid just stained them, try some Mother's aluminum polish. I have used it on mine before and it worked well.

Re: battery acid vs. ceramic headers
try the Mr clean magic eraser.. you might me lucky. I used that on my water spots on a few wheels and bumper and it worked great. so if it is still on the surface and not eating through it you might get lucky

Re: battery acid vs. ceramic headers
The main thing is don't get them hot until you get it off. I can't imagine there's anything that will harm the ceramic coating. Heck, the acid didn't eat it up. I think I'd try vinegar first.

Re: battery acid vs. ceramic headers
i think a bakin soda bath would b the first thing to wash everything down with
have your electrical system gone over to find out the cause of battery blowup as it is not a normal thing to happen
