Very nice. I'm not sure exactly why, but this truck remains a stand out example among custom trucks for me. Being a stocker kind of guy, I tend to look past most modified jobs and train my focus on the original survivors. This truck is different. It has something, or many things that set it apart from the rest. Sure, the patina is the first thing you notice, but the balance of legitimate age and new technology is first rate, and Del's choice of finishes on the new stuff was perfect. I've said it before, but tasteful restraint is what makes this ride what it is. Whether entirely on purpose or even partly accidental, he plain nailed it.
I couldn't tell you where this one fits in the sequence of Del's builds, but from my perspective, this is the one that put him on the map. I'm hoping that as this truck is passed along from owner to owner, it retains that "thing" that it has, and does not get lost to time like so many milestone customs of the past.
