Papa's 67 step side (aka ANOTHER porterbuilt prison)
So here is the deal...This truck has been passed down from my grandfather (Papa) to my dad and now me. By the way, it took forever talking my dad into giving me the truck even though it sat rusting away in the snow of northern arizona for god knows how long (just kidding dad). So once i knew it was loaded up on a flat bed on its way to california i sold the bobber i built to come up with a little money to start this project. Im sure my build wont hold a candle to most of the projects on this forum but i need this build thread to ask A TON of questions from you PROs as i do this. Thanks again for looking and especially thanks in advance for any help to all the questions i will be asking in the future...gonna post a pic to see if i can.

Congrats and good luck on the build, from another 67 owner passed down from his great grandfather (original owner).

Re: Papa's 67 step side (aka ANOTHER porterbuilt prison)
great place to start, you need more time every day to work. The bed is saveable I' told. I was told you get termites to eat new oak and collect the poop. While fresh it is moldable like bondo and hardens by itself. Good luck with that project and I will keep watching. I also have a shortbed stepside 67.

Re: Papa's 67 step side (aka ANOTHER porterbuilt prison)
Getting that passenger fender off must have been actually a little but of a pain, being that it was a pancake on top front. Seems hard to have gotten to the bolts to te radiator support
