Replaced my heater core! Lots of fun! Pictures!!! ;)

Hi all! Replaced my heater core this weekend, and I made sure to take lots of pics. Thought I'd post them. Enjoy!

You know there is a way to remove that heater box without removing the hood, but it's a HUGE pain in the butt, and you don't want to do it if you've installed new weatherstripping you don't want ripped up. You end up taking the hood off anyway (or what I did which was just undo that end, and support it with a block of wood while I slip the box in/out).

Looks like you had fun.

Lemme guess. You had a nauseating sweet smell in the cab combined with windows that wouldn't defog??? LOL That was my symptoms last Christmas when I finally got my truck on the road. Spent 4 months rebuilding the front/rear suspension only to have the heater core go out while going to the alignment shop. Talk about adding insult to injury!

and that stupid little wire between the housing and the firewall gave me a lot of crap --- it kept wanting to turn sideways and not go back on that post!!! argh!!!!
