'Nut,
I have aluminized exhaust on mine now. It's about 7 years and 20,000 miles old. The actual pipes are in good shape, however one of my tailpipe sections fell off! It rusted out at the weld. Thought I'd let you know my experience FWIW. If I go stainless, the welds will be stainless too - I would think that would last longer. But you also get what you pay for..... Paul
