fender removal
Hi so I have a 66 C10 and was wondering how to remove the front fenders and what is involved.
I know this may seem like a easy thing for some but I'm really learning a new skill set when it comes to restoration. THANKS! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: fender removal
I am certain that someone will post and refer you to a thread on this. I am posting up to A) bump you up, and B) to subscribe so that I get the link as well.
I am sure that if you take your time it should be relatively straight forward, but it is always good to learn about how it is done before you get into it. I plan to remove my front sheet metal this fall. Cheers!

Re: fender removal
Step 7 refers to a sealing compound to be used between the filler panel and the fender. I've noticed it on my filler panel and thought it was some type of rubber gasket. Is there a specific type of sealer that is used for this application?

Re: fender removal
There is rubber similar to weatherstrip on the later, 64-66 trucks. It is help in place with staples.
