Wheel Spacers....???
Looking to give my Long Bed a little wider stance. I cant seem to find anything on the market. Does anyone know of spacers or something...
86 GMC 1500 LWB Single cab 5.7L V8 350 , Turbo 350 long shaft trans swap Currently has 30x9.5R15 tires that are in great shape, on stock wheels. Don't really want to spend the money to run larger wheels and tires... But want the look of a wider stance. Help!!! |

Re: Wheel Spacers....???
Spacers will work but not good to use. Mine ran them for 20years with no problems.
Wider rims and tires woth aggresive offset is the proper way to widen stance Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Wheel Spacers....???
I ran 1.5" spacers on the rear. They will work...he sells 5 on 5 to 5 on 5 spacers...just contact him and ask the question.
Is your truck 2 or 4 wheel drive?

INCH!? Yuck. Thats SOOOO much more leverage on that poor hub/ studs. I HIGHLY reccomend u DO NOT use spacers.

Re: Wheel Spacers....???
Hauling a bunch of weight with spacers doesn't put any more stress on the hubs than just having say a 4 inch offset rim bolted on??? Seems hard to believe, but I'm still curious

Re: Wheel Spacers....???
You can speculate all day long...
But unless you have the engineering data they isn't proof either way. All I know is my experience and lots of people that have used them with no problems...

Re: Wheel Spacers....???
Be very cautious of e-bay spacers. Some are cast aluminum. Some are true billet.
I always run a set from trailsport4x4(sscramblin???) on e-bay. I just got a set in Friday and they are beefy. I have only ran them on the rear wheels of my 4x4's due to the 3" narrower rear axle housings.
