Re: sway bar

I cant say anything about the mustang 2 setups, but since noone has responded yet I will tell you that my Firebird front clip on my '55 had alot of sway - once my new bushings arrived I installed the factory sway bar and it made a HUGE difference, really tightened up the front end roll. I would recommend one if you could swing it.

again, no experience with the MII setups, but sway bars are always going to help!

Re: sway bar

i have a front and rear sway bar on truk
i have never driven it without sway bars since rebuilding it
but it corners very well compared to stock

if it's a matter of finances, it can be added at anytime
if not, go for it

I found for the rear on the AD that a late 60 and 70 Camaro are just the right width on the 53 it bolts right to the frame.
The 55 GMC I had to fab a 1 1/2" bracket to run the end links to.
Just use a new bushing kit and and some sand paper color of choice and you can feel the difference in the same day.
Check the salvage yards in your area, there are cheap down here at the PAP yard

Re: sway bar

A front sway bar is a must.
Mine didn`t have one originally (With the MII) so I put one on and what a difference. Half the body roll in corners and alot nicer to drive down the road.

Got mine from Yogi`s

Re: sway bar

what mustII do you have?
not sure if they're universal fit or not
i have a fatman mustII, i bought a fatman sway bar

i also boxed my frame front to rear before i installed my sway bar (technically an anti-sway bar)
all i did was weld a piece of angle on the inboard side of the frame to bolt the sway bar to

Re: sway bar

I believe my truck has an early Heidt's MII IFS, hard to tell and the PO didn't have a clue.

Here's the link to Yogi's.

This is the anit-sway bar I bought for $130 (p/n SB0050PM).
