what did you do with inner back panel after removing tank?

I have a 72 and moved the tank under the back bed. I would like to see pictures of what others did. I am going to be putting in bucket seats and am curious if I should paint it or carpet etc? Any pictures would really be appreciated.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: what did you do with inner back panel after removing tank?

I haven't gottin that far on my project yet but I plan on using a vinyl floor so it's easer to clean. You can power wash it if you get froggy!
With the inner panel I plan on building on to it with a 2x2 wooden frame and fiber glassing over it. It's not hard at all, just takes a lot of cure time and hand sanding to give it the look you want. But by the time your done you can mount speakers in there or anything you want. Especially when you make it the way you want! Thats the best way to make your truck special and one of a kind.

We used the original tank as a speaker box. Fit like a glove and sounds great!

This is a picture of my son's 69 GMC with carpet. The gas tank is still there but this will give you an idea of what carpet looks like with buckets.
