64 prebuild parts gathering post
So technically its not a build thread just yet but i did get some nice new parts for my 64 short fleetside. I got a rebuilt 69 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and 5 lug axles,
Also got new 2.5"drop spindles, new 4"rear springs, new brake calipers, rotors, stainless brake lines, new CPP crossmember with loop and exhaust cutouts, all for $500. Going back in a few weeks to get a very good condition small window cab and very good doors for another $125 Also found a good condition 235 and 3 speed manual for $200 I may pickup for it soon. Looking forward to getting the chassis rolling and get my frame cleaned up and painted. I am hoping to get this thing on the road before it turns 50 years old (2014). Already have ALMOST all parts I need to build it just need to get them redone or cleaned up and installed. Going to keep it mostly stock with safety upgrades such as power steering and brakes and a slightly lowered stance but still able to use it as a truck

Re: 64 prebuild parts gathering post
Ok no real progress lately thanks to lots of overtime at work but i did order some u bolts and blocks to lower the rear and hopefully get the new rear end installed soon and get this project rolling (literally). I have a 73-87 front suspension to rebuild and put up under this bad boy so hopefully the rolling chassis will be done in a month or two along with a cleaned and painted frame. Mainly just ready to get it out of the pasture and into my driveway so that I have access to it and can work on when the urge hits.
