how to clean trans?
The trans will be taken out next week. Whats the best way to clean the caked on road grime and oil off it.?

I have used a heated pressure washer, seemed to clean up pretty good, just plug any openings.

First, you need to scrape off as much of the caked on gunk. Then use a good degreaser, hot water and a brush.

I pretty much used an industrial degreaser and a scraper!

Dishwasher???? THATS where I screwed up, I used the washing machine.
Along with the shop rags.....
