the same guy that had the 72 orange n white longbed for sale told me about this place in orange california that had real good prices on parts. http://www.truckandcarshop.com that is the web address and their prices are pretty good on a lot of things. they have all the books and everything. im gonna be getting some parts pretty soon after my after birthday next month. still need a windshield. the guy also said this place is the place that alot of the catalogs buy from. so basically, skip the middle man. see the catalog on the bottom on the pic? btw this is the guys truck its for sale at 12k and it is SWEET!

Dinnut-I bought about $1200 worth of parts from them (little stuff- emblems, screws, mirrors, gaskets, bezels ect) And only paid 33 bucks shipping- everything (so far) has fit and is pretty good quality. I am happy with them, and the prices are the cheapest I have found. I have 6 pages of stuff that I ordered, and everything was there and priced right!

I HAVE BOUGHT A TON OF STUFF FROM THEM OVER THE LAST 5 OR 6 YEARS, & I HAVE BEEN VERY VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR QUALITY, PRICES, & PROMPTNESS IN WITCH THEY SHIP. LATELY THOUGH I'VE BEEN SPENDING MY MONEY WITH RICKS PICKUP PARTS.(WWW.****************.COM)SHAWN (RICKS SON) HAS TAKEN AN ACTIVE ROLE ON THIS BOARD, & HAS SPECIALS (ALL THE TIME) FOR BOARDMEMBERS ONLY. HE IS ALSO SUPER KNOWLEDJABLE ABOUT THESE OLD TRUCKS, & HAS BEEN THERE TO ANSWER THE PHONE EVERY TIME I CALLED WITH A ORDER OR QUESTION. HIS EVERYDAY PRICES ARE RIGHT IN LINE WITH THE TRUCK SHOP.(THE LOWEST I'VE FOUND) THIS GUY SEEMS TO BE WORKING VERY VERY HARD TO GET YOUR TRUCK PART BUSINESS.

My experience with them has been less than stellar. Prices are somewhat less but then you get what you pay for. I bought a pair of door handles a couple of years back and they did not fit right and have started to pit and the chrome is peeling. I will not buy from them again.

Granted, a lot of parts are manufactured by one source and are carried by all vendors, but you need to be suspect of the really good "deals", unless it's a special they are running.

As for skipping the middleman, unless they are manufacturing the parts themselves, this is probably not true. I've seen the exact part at their booth at Carlisle at nearly every other vendor's booth. Same packaging and all, and it does not say "Truck Shop" on it.

Caveat Emptor!

I agree with CPNE on quality. The only cosmetic piece Ive bought from them is a new dash bezel, and Im just buildin a driver. If I want high quality, Ill go elsewhere
