Your tire choices please
I am in the market for new tires. These will be on a 3/4 4x4 with a 2.5 inch lift and 4:10 gears.
I am thinking 31's or 33's. I want Radial, quiet on the highway, AT design. I have had BFG's, Coopers, Michelin, Bridgestone (good luck) and Goodyear, Hankook (not so good luck) Thinking Yoko's What is your first choice?

The longest-lasting and best traction I ever bought were BFG. I got almost 60,000 out of a set.

Don't get super swampers. I liked my BFGs (325/60R15) All Terrains. The 31s would probably look small. Go with 33s. Have some pics of my tires in the sig link.

I second what truckster said. I have had both bfg at and mt tires, and had excellent luck with both. They lasted a long time and didn't cut or chip like other name brand tires. I had a friend who had yok's and they didn't last very long (under 25000) and they cost almost as much as my bfg's
As for size, 33's would look right on your truck Good luck David

Have Michelin's in the front and Pirelli's out back on my truck - seem to have lasted pretty well, and traction with the Pirelli's is great!

I'm thinking of get this type of tire Firehawk Indy 500. I have never used it but comparing it with other tires, it seems to be a good deal. I did the search by tire size. |

run the 33" tires... And shoot for the BFG AT's. I had them on my last 4x4, and when I get another one, those are the brand that I will stick on it!!!

I'm facing a similar decision with a similar size truck. A lot depends on your intended driving. I'm presently looking at BFG A/T KO and Bridgestone Dueler Revo, both in 285/75-16 (~33"). Check this ratings chart http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/orat.jsp

I've just replaced the no name BFG pattern all-terrains on my 2wd 1/2 ton with BFG Long Trail T/A's, these are slighlty more road biasd and much quieter on the road but still have a bit more bite than a road tire. got em chaep too!

I have been running Pathfinder ATR's in 265-75R16. From Discount Tire. No longer available. I'm gonna try Nitto's Grappler. Cheaper than All Terrain TA's.

Just got home. Been to the stores shopping. Thanks for the links. Great info. Randy, KO's were $202.00. Yours are regular TA's?

Thinking Yoko Geolanders. Rode a set in Al. and they were very nice.
Lippyp, have had Long Trails on my truck. Too much highway for this truck. NO Goodyears. Bridgestones look promissing too. Are mail order places any better? ie; cheaper.
