tach help
is there a way to check if the tach for a dash is good without hooking it up to the truck?

Re: tach help
ground it, and hook up the wiring to the distributor and a 12v power source...
oops...I was thinking without installing in the dash...not without a truck at all... the only way I know is visual inspection (no loose wires/solders inside under the cardboard tube (take the face off to get the tube off)) The needle should be freely moving by hand... Most of the time a factory tach will be fine...but the only way to be 100% sure is to hook it up.
