Rally trim ring thoughts.
I just got a set of 5 used rally's , all with caps and rings in very good shape. The trim rings are all stock "deep dish" 3" rings. I was looking at some skinnier rings and thought they might make the rim "appear" bigger than 15". And since I'm blasting, priming and painting them, I thought it would be nice to actually see the wheel..
Here's what I mean by skinnier..  Anyone have pics of skinny trim rings on 15x8 rally's?

The first pic are of skinny 1 5/8in trim rings on 10in rims and the sec pic is on 8in rims, the fronts are 6.5in.
BTW the big 3in rings dont fit on 6.5in rims.

I dont have any pics but I like the look of the "skinny" trim rings on 8" rally wheels.

J Knight,
the rings on your truck (nice, BTW) look like the later model (88 up) ones for the ralley wheels on those trucks. they had a square edge and that little detail line on them. |

I think the trim rings you are looking for are for 88-up 1/2 tons, they used a 7inch rim(correct me if i'm wrong), these look really good on 15x8s, i'm gonna get a set soon too.
