Re: looking for a good 700r4 trans
Here is a link to TCI website:
http://www.tciauto.com/tc/200-4r-700...iring-kit.html It allows the Torque Converter to lock up in 4th gear on non computer controlled vehicles. Also forgot ot add transmission came out of an 88 Caprice and has approx 40,000 miles on it. If your looking for something newer i'll understand if you pass.

Re: looking for a good 700r4 trans
You could fit this tranny in the trunk of a car if you were willing to make the trip. If you decide to come get it then i'll drop it down to $350.00 picked up.

Re: looking for a good 700r4 trans
Don't have a 700R4 but this seems like a pretty decent deal for the price. I have a 700R4 in my '71 Chevelle, 350 ci. motor, edelbrock Performer RPM intake with a Carter AFB 625 CFM. That 700 REALLY brought that combo to life!. Best I can tell you is contact HeavyMetalChevy (board member) (Duane) for shipping that trans. I used him to ship a TH350/np205 auto and transfer case from Reno, Nevada to Wellington, Ks just south of Wichita. Total cost was about $265 door to door. VERY easily done and well taken care of. Just a thought to help out.
