Tow Hook question.

I decided that I would reduce cost on a set of tow hooks and purchased 73+ "J" style tow hooks for my 69. They look pretty nice. My truck doesn't have holes for mounting the hooks and I was wondering if anyone has the correct dimensions for drilling the holes so that if later I decide to put original hooks on it they will bolt up with no clearance problems with the bumper. Thanks in advance.

Maybe I'm confusing everyone. I bought a set of 73 tow hooks. My frame doesn't have holes pre-existing for mounting the tow hooks. So I have to drill the frame. My question is does anyone have the proper location dimensions for the holes for the 67-72 tow hooks in the frame. If I drill the holes to allow mounting the 67-72 tow hooks in the proper place and if I ever get a set 67-72 tow hooks I would not have to redrill the frame.

I seriously doubt that 73 and up hooks will use the same holes as 67-72 hooks.

well how hard is it to just drill another hole in the frame, sure it takes a bit of time, but thats the payment for having tow hooks i guess

the hole spacing is different between 69-72 hooks and 73-80 hooks.

Thanks Jerry,
That answers my question. I'll just position them so they look good and drill the frame. Now for one last question. Which way does the opening in the hook face?
