You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
I have been roaming these forums for a while now, posting here and there. I finally started on my project. Heres the low down: Picked up this 1950 3100 5 window off the original owner!
I know its in great shape, and is close to all original. I am going to build my rolling chassis first.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Gonna keep looking for a body in decent shape, but if i cant this one is getting cut!
The plans are s10 frame, bagged with a lowrider depot 6 link. 350/700r. here is the frame donor Traded the cab away with a bodydrop for an interior job on the 50. He brought me his frame. Recycled! Interior Stripped the frame down

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
started my body mounts, thanks to jeffs51chevy for the blue prints!
I did mine a little different. i started with 4x4 square and built from that here is one of the rear mounts. figured the holes would come in handy running wiresto the back.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Layedout,
Nice find and nice job! I'm just starting on my build, pretty much the same setup - 1950 3100 and a 1986 longbed s10. Having a local shop do the frame swap for me since I don't have the room to do it myself. Me and the kids are going to do most of the other other work. I have questions for you but wont bother you with them until you are further along, hehe. Keep posting updates! Eric |

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Any updates layedout? I'm thinking about going with the same 4 link you're installing - want to lay frame. Any reason why you chose it?

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Yea I used the low rider depot 6 link. I plan to make the running boards hit the ground. I have been spending tons of money buying parts and almost have a rolling chassis. Updates are soon to come!!!!

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
If you save nothing else you have to reuse this tail light, it is part of the history of this truck.
