Inline 6 250 with a 4 barell what brake booster will fit?
Im trying to put my power brakes in my truck but the booster hits the carb. What are you guys using for a booster that clears the carb and air cleaner?

I know of one that Might help, the one off of a mid 80's trans am or camaro, they are not as large in diameter, but it is a little longer, I am working on restoring a 1984 trans am ws6, it has the upgraded breaks, one like it has might be a good one to try.

If you have power steering, put on hydroboost

Manimal, I was actually thinking of doing that but I would honestly prefer the normal booster or just stick to manual brakes. How bad is it going to be running a power brake master with manual brakes? Posted via Mobile Device |

the master bolt pattern is a universal standard, Yes it will bold up, as far as the measurements I am not sure, I have not measured it I can tell by looking it is has a Much smaller diameter. it is easy to see there is a big difference between the two. I hope this helps.

Ok man, Thanks for the info. I think I am going to put a smaller carb on it. After I do that I'll give that booster a shot.

Right on man, looks a lot smaller then mine. I wonder if I would have to use the brackets from that one or if my brackets and linkages would work with it.

Re: Inline 6 250 with a 4 barell what brake booster will fit?
I installed a stock booster in a 70 truck with a 6 cylinder one barrel and it cleared the carb fine, but I had to use a small aftermarket air cleaner. Remember, a 3/4 ton booster is thicker that one for a 1/2 ton.
