Question Disk Brake Conversion Question

I am converting the 70 to front disk brakes using 78 C10 spindles, rotors, calipers with my stock A-arms. My question is for those who have done it, Where did you run the brake (caliper) hose to?

I know on my 83 it mounts to a hole on the frame to the front of the A-arm and the 70 has it in a tab to the rear of the a-arm.

This was the last unanswered question I have come up with before I start the actual changeover.

Thanks all.

Re: Disk Brake Conversion Question

Bill I also have the 82 spindles and control arms on my 69. Right now the hoses run to the front of the arm and through the hole in the frame. The hole was already there. I went to a Fastenal store and picked up some large washers to secure the hose there. I had already replaced the hard brake lines from a disc front end prior.

That is what I was thinking of doing, but was not sure if I needed a special hole to hold the hose. Since we don't have a Fastenal, I guess I'll see what Tractor Supply has.

Re: Disk Brake Conversion Question

I've used caprice brake hoses to the drum brake bracket , works better with stock spindles like you're using
