Bumper Guards for 71-72 Trucks?

I was wondering if anyone had gotten the LMC Bumper Guards for 71-72 trucks (check the link, Part 38-2985) and how they fit?

Pics would be good too.

Thanks

I don't have any experience with these but dual chrome would worry me. To stand up to the rigors of every day life and last you need triple chrome The price is right and if waxed regularly they would probably be OK.

Just thought I'd take one more stab at this for the weekend and see if anyone knows how they compare to the originals?

Re: Bumper Guards for 71-72 Trucks?

We had a pair on my dad's 71 GMC. They fit fine but pitted some on his truck as it is a daily driver. We took them off when I found a period correct grill guard. I have them for sale now on the parts board.

Re: Bumper Guards for 71-72 Trucks?

I ended up getting some and for a driver that didn't see a lot of bad weather they'd be ok for the price, but they definitely aren't a show quality piece. The sides are pretty wavy.

I don't think that they were too wavy, just the fact that they aren't triple chrome plated is minus

Maybe I just got a bad set? I agree on the chrome plating, I guess that's why they are cheaper than most other repopped ones.
