delay wipers
i would like to put delay wipers in my 1988 crewcab that does not have them from the factory , any help ?

i thought about the same thing in my 82 and found a post on here about the switch and delay box you'd have to install to. i think the delay box was around 100-200$

mine (81) had the STOCK switch like motornut's, (ive never seen one like his with that extra deal to the side) I found a truck in the yard with a switch in the stock location that has a black knob that turns, instead of the little chrome block. there was a little black box behind the dash that just plugged into the stock wires then into the switch the guy threw it in with the tach cluster i bought! .... presto chango- new delay wipers.
not sure on the years, but I think it was just a common option, especially on the newer squares... |

78-83 I believe that box/switch is plug and play. Maybe the later trucks as well but wiper controls were on the turn signal stalk after that so the wiring may be different.
