Re: Parting out my '63 might be the answer ...
if I go to the yards soon I will let you know if I see anything. Do you still have the same cell # I one with a 408 area code. I can send you a text if I see anything, maybe even with a pic attached...

Re: Parting out my '63 might be the answer ...
at least sell it if you arent going to use the parts, I know more guys with 3 or 4 "started" projects that will never get done than I can count.
5 trucks gave up their parts for mine and only one is still around. I thought a long time about not chopping up the nice driver 65 BBW longbed that eventually donated the cab to mine, but in the end it was the right decision. I dont know if an old longbed chevy will ever compare to some of the volkwagen prices but I guess who knows. they made a lot of dodge neons too and I dont see them being hyper collectable in 40 years. what I do know is they made a LOT of these trucks and even almost perfect ones arent really worth a ton. no offense intended to the purists out there.

Re: Parting out my '63 might be the answer ...
Let me take a closer look at my 2 parts cabs. I have a '61 and a '63 cab. Do you need the center piece above the windshield all the way from left joint to the right joint?

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/pts/3147261285.html This guy has 3 hoods. You can have all 3 for $100 or one for $50. The orange/red one looks pretty straight.

Re: Parting out my '63 might be the answer ...
Today I got a chance to check out my parts cabs. As it turns out, the center piece above the windshield is not as good as I thought it was. However the A-pillars appear to be in good condition. Didn't get a chance to look for cowl extensions yet.

Huh, for some reason I was thinking they were closer to $100.00.
