A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
I obvioustly screwed things up..look where my dif lines up in my notch when the trailing arms are installed. Can i just move the trailing arm crossmember forward to fix this or am i screwed??
second bit of help needed. I cant seem to find hardware in my kit to mount the upper and lower control arms. this is all the hardware i have left other than miscellaneous nuts and bolts (nothing i have left seems correct for installation). Does the uppers mount (flat side if pivot, for lack of better words) dirrectly to dropmember with just bolt/nut? Also was i to use something off my old lower control arms to mount the new ones?? the rod/nuts in nates instructions are no where to be found and wasnt sure i had to use something off my old setup? |

Swing your trailing arms all the way up.
Where does the rearend hit inside the step notch?

Re: A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
The trailing arms travel in a arch so when its lowered the rear end is kinda pulled foward some.On the hardware just wait for nate or dave to wake up they will chime in asap.

Re: A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
That is what i assumed as well. right now its on jacks about 10-12 inches off the ground..as soon as i start dropping it im sure it will come in contact with the notch.

Do you have a further away picture of your rear setup?
Something looks "off" in the picture. |

Re: A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
your notch looks to be in about the same place as mine was at that point, I think like someone mentioned earlier, drop it down (or jack the rear end up) and see if the problem still exists

I'm going to drop it down this afternoon hopefully and see what it looks like then, I just think it's going to push it further back

Re: A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
Just stick a floor jack under the rearend and raise it all the way up.

Re: A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
Also, the trailing arm should have a heim joint where it attaches to the crossmember. You should be able to adjust that too, if you haven't already.
I think once you "lift" that rearend closer to the notch you'll be fine. And maybe mock up the lower bag mounts and make sure they line up with the uppers...

Re: A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
Send me your e-mail address and we will send you a set of instructions.
There is almost an inch and a half difference in the rear wheel well opening center-line on the Fleet vs. Step side trucks. The stepper is forward when compared to the fleet. We also make a notch specifically for the step side beds now, and If I recall correctly, you have a step side bed... and we sent you the new step side notch. You should have left your trailing arm cross-member in the forward most mounting position so that the axle lands in the center of the notch/center of the wheel well opening. Should be a simple fix. Go ahead and give us a call with any questions so we can get ya fixed up. Nate

Re: A little HELP!! from dropmember guys please.
There should have been upper control arm hardware supplied in your kit as well. Give us a buzz and we can make sure you get what you need.
