Bed step
Can someone please give me the measurement between the front of the bed step to the cab (1956)? Multiple measurements wold help. Thanks in advance!

Even on both sides with the gap between the bed and the back of the cab even all the way up and down. That will probably be better than when it left the factory new.
Cab mounts in good shape and the correct bed mounts in good shape help too. |

I measured mine before I disassembled it and mine was 1.25 inches at the upper lip where you have referenced. Having said that, I'm betting they vary somewhat between trucks. BTW mine is a 56 also. Hope this helps.

It's hard to get an exact measurement due to the curvature of the lower cab and the front of the step, but mine measures 1 3/4 inches.
