Brakes
I have a '77 Silverado 20 with the following problem:
The truck has been sitting for a couple of years. The brakes work, but I have to pull the pedal up with my foot otherwise the brakes do not release. When I first looked at the truck, the front cell in the Master Cylinder was empty. I haven't bled the brakes yet after refilling with new fluid. Since the truck had been sitting, I could not see any signs of where the brake fluid had leaked. Any ideas? Thanks! Ripley '77 Silverado 20, long bed, 454.

several things i think
first off you need to check your system for leaks, repair any leaks and bleed the system out to make the brakes operable. If your truck is power brakes make sure the line for the vacuum is clear and operable and if youre still having problems with having to lift up the pedal your power booster may be goin south
