What should I pay for this??

Hello fellas, I am new here and have a question for the experts.

I have an opportunity to buy this truck but both the seller and I are having a difficult time determining a (fair) value.

Any help would be appreciated.

(needs tires, brakes, and general maintenance)

Thanks,

Well that trim on the fenders is rare and can sell for up to $2000 by its self.

$3200 is a beginning 4500 to 5k would be my top number. Its a rare truck in very nice shape but its not 10k nice. I wouldn't consider the trim unless its in very good shape. If its dinged up it could cost 2 grand to fix it.

Re: What should I pay for this??

It is missing the two long pieces of deluxe trim on the side of each front fender. Either they filled the holes for them or they added all the other deluxe pieces.

I looks to be good shape. I dont see excesive rust, and i was thinking the same as DWCSR. 5k. 50's panels/burbs are hard to get stuff for. I gave up on one a couple years ago because of rust. This one looks decent.
Hope it works out for you.

I agree with meter swinger. I think it depends on how well it runs as to where it would be in the range.

Re: What should I pay for this??

I'd have to agree on the 3200 to 5000 range too. I was thinking 3500 when I saw the first photos before I saw the other comments. From all appearances it's worth a bit more than the normal run of the mill panel simply because of what it looks like you don't have to do.

With the deluxe trim I'd say that's a restore to showroom truck rather than a modify it truck though. At least body wise.
