msd distributor trouble
i have a magnetic pickup ditributor and my ignition box doesnt work ... i am wandering if i can wire my distributor and blaster 2 coil up to run without using the ignition box.... i have a extra coil from a vortec motor can i use it... i am just wanting to run the motor enough to keep the motor lubed up (not trying to drive it this way) or any ideas??

Maybe, maybe not. Some MSD distributors will not run without a box, others will. You need the part number of your distributor, and then look on MSD's website and see what it says about that model of distributor. I don't know about the Vortec coil, but I doubt it would work as those are designed to work in conjunction with a PCM.
