SPID says 327
What I was wondering was the 327 common in 68 or was my truck a special order. Just seems most I see have the 350.

Re: SPID says 327
I belive in 1968 the 307 was the standard V8, 327 and 396 were optional.

Re: SPID says 327
I believe the 350 was first available in 1969 pickups, it replaced the 327.

Re: SPID says 327
Well,'68 was kinda funny. Through the '60s we saw the 283 and it's bigger brother 327 running around together. In '68 the new size 307 replaced the 283,yet the 327 hung in another year. The 350 did come out in '68,just not in trucks. I thought for years both engines came in together in '69 until I started paying attention to all the nitty gritty details and changes like we do today. I thought '68s still ran 283s. They didn't put engine badges on until '69,either.
