door window q
I have not seen my truck in a while.. my brother has it but the driver side window fell from it track and broke. I want to know if there is a steel channel on the bottom of the window to hold it above the regulator. I do not have any books that show it. Just wondering what to do about it. He said he can get a new window from a local glass shop but I need to find out if there is a channel. Thanks in advance. ps my address will soon be changing to Flagstaff AZ.

If I understand your question correctly, then yes, there is a steel channel that the glass fits into. The regulator's nylon rollers fit into this channel. A glass shop should be able to reuse the channel on a new piece of glass for you.

The part my brother found was mostly gone due to rust. Any suggestions on finding a replacement? Do they make them new or should I seek a used one in good shape or could I have one make fairly eays (I never seen it )

I've never seen that part sold by any vendor. It would be easy to find another piece of glass from a board member. There are lots of Canadian members if you want to avoid customs hassles.
