Temp guage wiring question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can anyone tell me the color of the wire going from the temp guage to the sensor in the motor? Also, which hole on the firewall does the wire come through?

PO installed a mechanical guage and I would like to hookup the original. There are several wires hanging around and could use any help in finding the right one (electrical cleanup, on todo list).

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Green wire, it comes out of the top half of the fuse box.
