Plug wire routing /pics please

Whats some good ways to route plug wires without spending a fortune on those fancy gizmos that attach to your valve covers & you thread your wires thru. They look great & neat but Idont want to spend 75.00-80.00 on something like that. Also should Ikeep my wires up off the valve covers .
Ideas & pics would be great .

I have used zip-ties just like that i think i found out about that trick in an old hot rod magazine.

zip ties can actually make a good look, i saw it on spike tv's trucks once, just use a big one around all 4/3/2 (however many you have at the same spot) and then use a small one to go inbetween each wire, i did it with my old cavalier and it looked pretty good actually, ill come up with pics sometime soon

What are you working on exactly?

I've always found that the factory wire loom setups work fine for me, with or without headers. Depending on what you are working on most all of your factory wire loom holders are reproduced and they are relatively inexpensive.

Some route over the covers, some down the sides, some of your older trucks even ran under the manifolds and up the back of the block and bellhousing area and then come up the back of the cylinder heads by the distributor. (one of my personal favorites as they are almost completely out of site)

Ive got headers bt the way manimal

Ive got these long T BOLTS that you screw into studs to hold valve covers down . Had a blue zip tie that actuall matches my plug wires .tried it looks ok to me

Will zip tie 2 plug wires to each of the 4 t bolts ( can get antwhere --made by Spectre) Also with the zip ties you can secure your wires where they are away from your headers& valve covers. Good idea.

Is there any better forum than this !!

i had seen a routing method with zips that used one inbetween each wire to separate them. hard to describe, but looked cool!

Wow, 4 little zip tie circles held together with a zip tie.....looks pretty good actually.

Yep, I mentioned earlier that GM had a factory routing system just like that where they ran along side the block and behind the cylinder heads. Was on the trucks mainly with the factory ram horn manifolds and you can still buy the reproduction brackets and holders to do it. Works great with headers too

Best factory plugwire setup in my opinion, keeps them out of sight.

Yep, I used them recently on something else I was working on.

I used these and came around from behind the heads.You don't see much.I used red wires with a red dist cap.Look's cool Imo.I know you said you didn't wanna spend that much.I got a used set that look's new off ebay for under 20 clams.

Not to be a pest, but i think we need to keep each wire at least .5 inch away from each other. Especially 5 and 7.

It used to be years back that racers would do this to reduce interference between cylinders. I'm not so sure it's an issue if you use a nice quality set of plug wires though.
