1972 C10 Watts Project
Hello Everyone,
Kinda hard to come up with a really cool title for my build like everyone else. This will have to do. I have been looking through a lot of the builds on the forums here and I have gotten some great ideas from the posts that you all have made. We got some pretty some pretty cool rides on here. Here are a few pics of my truck when I brought it home on 7/16. The truck has 350//350TH. My favorite part is the Wooden Long Bed which is rotted out but its there. Has the California Package assume that is why the body is as good of shape as it is now for being in Iowa. Probably didn't start its life here. Since I have bought the truck I have done the normal tune up things. Changed the Oil, Spark Plugs to Bosch Platinum Plus 4s, and changed the air filter to a Spectra Air Cleaner Kit. Redone the rear half of the Wiring Harness. The lights did not work properly tons of quick connectors cutting into the wires. Exhaust was horrible, Purchased some Ceramic Headers and Purple Hornies temp fix for the leak. I am really happy with my purchase. The truck is great foundation for the start of my build. I hope to get some more stuff rolling on my project in the near future. Will try to keep updates coming and hopefully pictures for those of you who are interested. |

Re: 1972 C10 Watts Project
Some updates on my "Project" in the past 7 months.
I fixed more of the wire harness to try and resolve a issue with my lights. I purchased LED Side Markers, Tail Lights, and updated head lights. They are really cool. Below is a picture of the before and after of the headlights. I also recently installed a Magnaflow Stainless Steel Exhaust kit. The biggest upgrade that I have gotten in that past month is a 2002 Silverado 2WD truck with a 5.3L//4L60 I have called him Donor! I will be driving this around for a while. It is an extremely clean Oklahoma truck. |
