So I have a 1978 gmc c15 with the 250 in it with offenhauser intake four barrel carb and headers the miserable three speed sucks on the highway no over drive just checking if I can put a 1986 s10 2.8 t5 transmission in it for that good overdrive I hear people doing it would it hold up behind the 250 with the mods I have on it please help

Did you not just post an almost identical thread.
Anyways I'd use a Camaro V8 T5 as it has much better gear ratios and stonger overall, you can install the S10 tailhousing on the back. Also I would use the complete S10 shifter. This is how http://www.inliners.org/Jack/T5tech.html |

1986 is a non-world class design T5. Torque rating is 280 ft-lbs. 1st gear is 3.76 for a V6 T5. Bellhousing bolt pattern is GM style.
