TH200 cooler lines reversed from normal?
The dude at the transmission shop told me the pressure/return lines are always the same, pressure on the bottom and return on the top.
Checking around online, I found a link at montecarloss.com that says the TH200 is for some reason backwards (Except below). Does anyone have a more authoritative answers? I don't want to plumb it backwards because "I read it on the Internet somewhere". But if someone on the Internet tells me they read it somewhere off the Internet, I'll believe that... because if its in a book, it must be true :-) Thanks! Dave Q: Which transmission coolant line is which on the transmission? • TH-350C (1983-1985): ◦ The upper transmission coolant line on the TH-350C transmission is the return side (cooled fluid returning from the radiator). ◦ The lower transmission coolant line on the TH-350C transmission is the pressure side (hot fluid pumped out of the transmission). • TH-200-4R (1986-1988): ◦ The upper transmission coolant line on the TH-200-4R transmission is the pressure side (hot fluid pumped out of the transmission). ◦ The lower transmission coolant line on the TH-200-4R transmission is the return side (cooled fluid returning from the radiator). • At the radiator, the upper coolant line is the return side.. the lower coolant line is the pressure side.
