Introducing (the before pic's) my cousin forum member Barcobear's stock clean rustfree' 1971' Cheyenne Super, a long bed that he has owned for about 12 years, actually he sold it once to a nephew and got it back 4 years later, just to let you know this is "not" going to be a picture by picture build thread, the conversion is to be done my my cousin non-member Richie "slow as a snail" the G. who will be taking his time, so please do not hold your breath for "the after pic's" photos that will come, but may take a while, Comments are always welcome.

Re: If you love unmolested longbeds, don't look!!!.......or
why don't you just sell the long bed and buy a short bed. seems like it would be a better solution then cutting up a perfectly good truck. i don't understand why people want to ruin a good truck if your not happy with buy something that would better suit you.

Re: If you love unmolested longbeds, don't look!!!.......or
Wicked! It is a nice truck and it'll make a super nice shortbox! I get comments all the time from guys who don't like that I have chosen to modify my 70,000mile 2wd Blazer, my response to them is always " for 30 grand you can buy it and do what ever you want to it " That usually shuts them up quick. Looking forward to an eventual finished pic. Hopefully he doesn't work as slow as I do.

Hey Rene - what are the plans for this (I may have missed em) - are you gonna keep all the front the same and just chop the frame and paint the "new" bed to match?
Sure looks like a super job on the shortening. |

Wait a minute, "for the record" the new bed is not a cut down bed the new bed is a factory bed that just happen to be blue.

Re: If you love unmolested longbeds, don't look!!!.......or
i don't get all the fuss about the shortbeds, I've only owned one sb and it will not happen again, useless. imo they just don't look right either, but to each there own and its still a good lookin classic gm.
