Disc brake conversion rubber hoses...what are you using?

Well, I bought a CPP 6 lug disc brake conversion for my 67 C10 and the rubber hoses that came with the kit are too long, they bow over and rub the tires. They are 17" long from end to end. I called but no help so I called ECE and ordered their rubber hoses. Their hoses are the right length, 14" end to end, but they don't fit through the tab on the 67 crossmember. ECE told me the tabs may need some slight filing but it seems to be more than a little filing.

For you guys that did a disc conversion but are still using the 67-70 front crossmember what brake hoses are you using?

If you look at 72BlckButy's "blank slate" thread you will see what we did with the ECE conversion hoses.
Yes the bracket will need to be opened up a little with a file.
Remember that tab was designed for a drum brake hose.
Your other option is to install a bolt on tab in another location.

Re: Disc brake conversion rubber hoses...what are you using?

Thanks for the info Keith! I guess I'll try filing them out and if that doesn't work I'll buy some of those tabs. I was just surprised the CPP hoses fit in the drum brake hose tab and the ECE didn't...
