Frame Swap (uh oh)
So for a while now i have known my frame has been cut out where the motor mount stands mount to the frame, and the section above the rear coils is rusting and splitting. HERE is my question.
I have a 68 C20, i have access to a C10 frame. Can i put the 1/2 ton frame under my 3/4 ton?? All replies and opinions welcome, i appreciate all your knowledge and help folks, thank you.

Re: Frame Swap (uh oh)
Yes you can....some people think its taboo to do it, but truth is it happens a lot....swap it out I think you would want to replace the rubber mounts while you do it...now days guys are cutting lwb frames down and most of the ones I've seen wouldn't bother me they do a good job and use reinforcement plates.....I know I've bought a few out of state vehicles and brought here and not once has the Inspector checked the frame for numbers so I personally wouldn't worry about it and just do it to keep your truck on the road
