Most reasonable place that sells the radiator filler panels?

Looking for a set of filler panels for my 68? I'm tired of the ugly opening between the grill and the radiator support showing...looks like it's unfinished imo.

Brothers also sells them. Looks the same as LMC and the cost is also the same. In addition to the filler panel the bridges the gap between the radiator and grill, there is also a panel the goes from the core support and covers the top of the radiator.

Good info, after replacing my 3 row with a 4 row radiator there is a very noticable gap there.

I bought the cover for the radiator and it fits nice and cleans it up great, the filler panel is next on my list.

I could have swore someone on the board used a Chevelle radiator cover or something and posted pics and it worked very well?

Re: Most reasonable place that sells the radiator filler panels?

I was just looking at these today. Unfortunately they don't fit trucks with factory a/c. With my Vintage Air system the dryer sits up too high. I consider getting it in black and cutting out a section for the dryer then paint it to match the truck. Not sure that would look right. I thought of lowering the dryer but that's a big production. Still thinking of options.

The panels on LMC

Big production because it's installed and charged? Could you have mounted it lower had you known?

Re: Most reasonable place that sells the radiator filler panels?

Some core support covers, (fillers), are aluminum, some are steel. I bought the aluminum before I saw the steel. Still okay but I have to be a little more carefull with it. Radiator cover I bought was steel. Had them all faux painted in a grey/black carbon fiber pattern. Very happy with the clean look they give.

LMC core support aluminum cover item number is 38-7817 $120
LMC radiator cover is 38-1896 $20

Exactly. Lowering it requires opening the system and creating new lines to route to the lower location. I've had my a/c in place for less than 3 months. It was a royal PIA to get the custom lines created, routed and SEALED. At first I was plagued with leaks. Now that I have it done, I'm in no hurry to mess with it. Had I known in advance, I probably could have made it work.

Made mine, had to put a dimple flange over the drier as i mounted it to high and would have to open the system to move it.

Classic Industries also sells them. They have the larger selection, plain polished, engraved polished, black anodized plain and engraved. I believe they are made by Undercover Innovations, they make them for a wide variety of vehicles.

Just as an update on this subject undercoverinnovations are now offering the panels modded for a/c setups. The website is being re-done but if you call to place your order they will give you the right part number....
