Dual Tank question

Hey i was wondering how difficult/expensive it is to hook up a second tank on a truck that only has 1. Let me know if there is like a kit you can buy or somehting like that. Thanks, NICK

JCW sells the switching valve you need. It comes with a switch you can mount in your cab, but I think it looks cheesy. The factory switch, from a jyard, would work well.

Then, you will need the tank. I recommend poly. Then you need a sending unit and the straps. All this assumes your bed already has a gas tank door on the other side. If not, I hope you don't mind siwtching beds or mig welding a fuel door in.

It's doable, but will not be cheap. WHy not get a burb 40 gallon tank and put it behind the axle where the spare tire used to go?

Thats a good idea, have you ever mounted a burb tank or know someone who has? If so, was it complicated? The only reason is because i have a built 350 pushing 430 horse, and it goes through 16 gals real quickly. BTW its a Shortbed

Yes, I have seen two trucks in person with this done. Have seen it online quite a bit too.

Big tank, and helps put some weight on the back (our trucks are so forward heavy.)

I wish I had done this instead of getting a 2nd poly side saddle tank. Oh well....

Oh, as far as being complicated - no it's no. You need to fabricate the holding straps. It would help to have a welder, but you can do it all bolt on. I have seen it done both ways.
