Ancient Knowledge Required
Does anyone know where I can find a complete option list with prices for a 1971 or 72 SWB Fleetside???
I didn't buy one then, wife said that we had three kids, and they would get cold in the back...so I bought a 1972 VW Bus... Hated it... I want to build the truck, I would have bought then... But I'd like to see an option list, including prices... I haven't had a good cry in a long time... Thanks in advance... Larry |

In support of your project here are links to the tools you will need. First is a brochure it will help to make sense of it all. http://www.chevyinfo.net/?page_id=672 The second item will come from GM. The path isn't as simple. Go to http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...tion-kits.html Click on Chevrolet Trucks (All Models Not Listed Below) Show From there select your model year, 1972 and download it. It will be about 2.6 mb, hope you don't have dialup. Between the two there will be a lot of information to sift through, prices included. Go ahead and try to do your project, Good Luck and I will post your quiz next week. :-) Last... Welcome to the board.

Re: Ancient Knowledge Required
I have the dealer data book from 1971. It lists all options with code and price in both dealer cost and suggested retail. I'd scan but don't have a scanner. I assume you need to see what was available to create your list. I'll help any way I can.

Re: Ancient Knowledge Required
Thanks for those links. I like them to help me know what my dads truck should look/be like. Otherwise i might think dual exhaust is original (dad added dual exhaust at some time), or that the upholstery is original when actually dad had it redone at some time) or what dimensions to tell the truck cover manufacturers I need for the cover. So, these are great, thanks again.
